The Role

  • Managing and administering all payroll aspects related to complex employee transitions and lifecycle changes, including mid-cycle adjustments and high-volume terminations.
  • Applying expert knowledge to accurately calculate complex final entitlements and settlement figures, ensuring strict associated regulatory and tax compliance.
  • Performing detailed fortnightly wage checks and addressing employee queries with a high level of service.
  • Executing General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and managing end-to-end superannuation obligations.
  • Managing STP filing and ensuring all reporting meets current ATO regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with the wider team to maintain compliance during a period of operational transformation.

About You

  • Proven Experience: A strong, hands-on background in end-to-end payroll processing within high-volume environments.
  • Legislative Expertise: Deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Fair Work standards, and Superannuation Guarantee requirements.
  • Technical Proficiency: While experience with SAP SuccessFactors is highly regarded, it is not a strict requirement; a high level of digital literacy across tier-one systems is essential.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong skills in reconciliations and the ability to interpret complex Awards and Agreements.
